Event Photography

D.A.M.E. is a women-led DJ collective built on music, community, and the kind of night you don’t forget. This session was photographed at a live event in Austin, TX — where every corner of the room had its own energy, from the artists deep in the work behind the decks to the people who showed up just to move. Shot entirely in available light, these images capture the atmosphere as it actually felt.

My Approach

Event photography is about disappearing into the room.

The best moments happen when people forget the camera is there — a DJ lost in the mix, a stranger dancing like no one’s watching, two people mid-conversation saying something that matters. My job is to be ready for those seconds without disrupting them.

I work in available light whenever possible, letting the atmosphere of the space define the image rather than imposing on it.

The goal is always the same: photographs that feel like a memory, not a record.
